Patient Details
56-year-old patient, 5'0" and 138 lbs, who underwent bilateral skin-sparing mastectomies for left-sided breast cancer, followed by immediate autologous breast reconstruction using DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) flaps.
Following a 20-pound weight loss, she desired improved volume and symmetry. She underwent delayed placement of silicone breast implants with Galaflex mesh reinforcement to enhance projection, support soft tissue, and optimize final breast contour.
