Patient Details
49-year-old patient, 5'0" and 162 lbs, with a history of left-sided breast cancer. She initially underwent a left lower pole lumpectomy followed by adjuvant radiation therapy. As a result, she developed significant contracture of the inframammary fold and volume loss in the left breast, leading to pronounced asymmetry. This could not be corrected with autologous fat grafting alone. In Stage I, she underwent DIEP flap reconstruction. In Stage II, she had a right breast augmentation and revision of the left breast reconstruction to improve symmetry and shape.
