Patient Details
50-year-old patient, 5'3" and 160 lbs, with a history of breast carcinoma, underwent bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomies followed by immediate expander-based reconstruction and in-office expansion.
Following completion of chemotherapy, she proceeded with Stage 2 reconstruction, which included bilateral revision of breast reconstruction with capsulotomy, multilayered capsulorrhaphy, autologous fat grafting, and removal of tissue expanders. Permanent silicone gel-filled implants were placed, and flank liposuction was performed to assist with contouring. Her mediport was also removed during this stage.
Fat grafting was utilized to improve soft tissue coverage, address asymmetries, and optimize overall breast contour.
