Patient Details
43-year-old patient, 5'4" and 125 lbs, with a history of breast cancer. She underwent bilateral skin-sparing mastectomies followed by staged expander-to-implant breast reconstruction.
After completing Stage II of her implant-based reconstruction, she desired increased volume and improved breast shape. In Stage III, to address contour irregularities and thin mastectomy skin flaps, she underwent bilateral autologous high-volume fat grafting (DIEP harvest) along with bilateral implant exchange.
This approach provided enhanced fullness, improved symmetry, and optimized overall breast contour.
